Vor einiger Zeit hatte ich das große Vergnügen Kremer im Studio vor der Kamera haben zu dürfen. Eine unglaublich lockere und entspannte Angelegenheit mit sehr viel Spass. Heute möchte ich Kremer nicht als Model, sondern als Künstler vorstellen.

Bereits im Rahmen seiner schulischen Ausbildung, in den 1990er Jahren, entdeckt Kremer sein Interesse an der Bildenden Kunst. Vor allem an der Malerei findet er Gefallen. Sie scheint ihm ein geeignetes Medium zu sein, um das zu vermitteln und auszudrücken, was ihn in seinem Innersten bewegt und berührt.

Zu Beginn des neuen Jahrtausend legt Kremer seine praktische und schriftliche Abiturprüfung im Fach der Bildenden Kunst mit einem Werk ab, das an die fauvistische Malerei Henri Matisse‘ angelehnt ist. In der Folge abstrahiert er seinen Stil mehr und mehr. So spiegeln sich in seinen Bildern nun vor allem Stilelemente des Abstrakten Expressionismus wieder, einer Form der Malerei die von bekannten Künstlern wie Jackson Pollock oder Emil Schumacher geprägt wurde. Die Darstellungsformen dieser Stilrichtung eignen sich besonders gut, um Emotionen und die unruhigen Tiefen der menschlichen Psyche zu visualisieren. Das und die Ausführung der Kunst in spontaner Art und Weise bleiben fortan Kremers Hauptanliegen. Er verzichtet bewusst auf Perfektion und die Beschränkungen der Vernunft, und geht mit seiner abstrahierenden und doch figürlichen Malerei direkt und ungeschönt auf die atavistischen Wesensmerkmale des Menschen ein.

Der hier präsentierte Gemäldezyklus “The blood, the sweat, the tears” zeigt eine Metamorphose, eine Wandlung und Angleichung an neue Bedingungen, die der Künstler nach dem jähen Ende seiner Liebesbeziehung vorfand. “The blood, the sweat, the tears” verbildlicht den inneren Kampf, die Resignation, die Wut und das Schöpfen neuer Hoffnung – in einem philosophischen Sinne: den Todeskampf, den Tod und die Wiedergeburt – des Künstlers.

Für seine Gemälde verwendet Kremer vornehmlich Leinwand. Darauf verarbeitet er hauptsächlich Öl- und Acrylfarben. Er verwendet jedoch oftmals, neben weiteren Arbeitsmaterialien wie Sprühlack oder Kohle, auch eher unübliche Stoffe, wie Sand, Laub, Schwämme oder gar Fetzen von Handtüchern. Damit verschafft er manchen seiner Werke einen plastischen Charakter, und somit eine zusätzliche Dimension.

a few days ago i met him again. before that i sent him this pic via email to find out what he is thinking about. when we met he gave me a print of it with the title and a note one it:
“1+ mit * und geil!”
wich means he was totally hooked!

it’s been a while since mace and i went on short phototour, because we both were/are very busy and we (not mace and me ) moved and and and…
but some weeks ago we went on a trip. we drove about one hour? two hours? just to end at one of our favorite lakes which is about 20 minutes away…
finally we sat there waiting for sunset talking, eating and having “ahmbrod”… =)

i enjoyed it a lot!!!

i rented some studio time at a photostudio near my home and we went off.
